About St. Augustine

Historic District:

St. Augustine is a special place. It has a rich history, having been settled by the Spanish way back on September 8, 1565. The Spanish explorer Pedro Menendez de Aviles named the settlement after St. Augustine because it was established on the saint's Feast Day.

The historic feel of St. Augustine has been preserved with cobblestone streets lining the local shops and restaurants. The oldest fort in the United States, still standing, exists here called Castillo de San Marcos.

Many tours and activities are offered here. Just a stroll through these streets gives you the feeling of an old European village meets the New World.

Shopping:

St. Augustine has bustling shopping areas.

From Outlet Malls to big box stores to quaint local shops, you'll find whatever you may require here.

Restaurants:

From fine dining to casual chic to franchise names you know, dining in St. Augustine will entice everyone's palate.
